Our life lately..
We are alive! And doing great!
I have neglected my blog for awhile- we found an apartment in the Bay Area close to both families, we love our new place and the area.
We moved into our place a week ago, so pretty much all we are & have been doing is unpacking.
Unpacking drives me crazy. I enjoy packing much more.
Unpacking just means you have to have a place for everything to go. (which we don't) - packing is so wonderful because you know where it's all going- into the box. And then you tape it up and don't have to find a new place for it for a few weeks. I love it.
So as un-fun as unpacking is, it has to be done. We have found a place for most things, with exception of the couple things I just stuff under the bed that have no other place to go.
Parker's room has a couple boxes full of blankets and extra bedding that have no where to go.
And we have boxes full of books... that we need to go get a new bookshelf for because ours got trashed in the move.
Nothing is hung on the walls yet because I got my Interior Designer mother to come over and help pick out some paint colors for the walls for no charge!! Thanks mom :)
Parker is enjoying our new place. He's a happy boy.
He's starting to like his bumbo- he'll sit in it and watch me cook or clean while he eats his toys, or his fingers, whichever is closer to him.
I got this hat at baby gap for $1.99- a steal I tell you.
Originally $16- but I bought it in the summer so they gave it to me cheap

So Precious.
We went to the Pumpkin Patch with the Harlows- so fun! we did a corn maze and watched the kids dive in a box full of dry corn kernals. Interesting, but looked like fun! Parker even put his feet in!

Leaving & Arriving
Leaving Utah was definitely sad- we left a lot of family that we love to party with. Brett's going to miss golfing with his brothers, and I'll miss hanging out with my sister and sis inlaws. Before we left, the Abilla's threw us a going away party- it was super fun and involved some amazing ice cream sundaes, with everything you can imagine piled on top.. it was heavenly
Uncle Brett & Bennett

We even went swimming at 9 am in Lake Tahoe.
Ok, Brett got all the way in, Parker and I just put our feet in
Then we got home to the bay area and Ddawg threw us a coming home party!!It was super cute and fun, and although less people then our going away party, it was just as fun!
And she made an incredible chocolate layer cake, which was to die for.
Instead of stealing all her pictures, just go here- and see more pictures and some videos from our party!!
We are happy to be here. The weather has already been great (especially since it's already snowed in utah) and being close to more family has been so fun.We are so excited starting this new chapter in our lives!
the nursery before we moved
I wanted to document what Parker's nursery looked like before we left utah- so one day he can see- and so that I'll remember.
I love this. I found a vinyl sticker set- it came with all these stickers and then you put the whole thing together however you wanted. I had my mom & Brett help, I loved it!
One of the saddest parts of leaving his nursery was knowing I was going to have to take the stickers down. I saved the pages they came on, but I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it without ruining anything. I mentioned this to my sweet husband one night before I went out, when I came home he had taken the whole thing down for me and put them perfectly back on the pages so that I can re-use them! What a stud! :)
This little guy came with the crib- great deal yea?
( and washed them) and made this sock monkey!! It's a real legit sock monkey made from the real kinds of socks they use for sock monkeys. I love it, especially since it has such a sentimental value to us.
we named him ted, after my grandpa. vance was his middle name.there's the nursery! not to fancy shmancy- but I love the jungle theme and found so many fun things, like the awesome lamp to go with it.
