If you really knew me...

(I've seen this on a few blogs and thought it was a fun idea!)

If you really knew me...

you would know that I think my husband is the funniest person on the face of the planet
(and the best looking too :)

I do not wear the color pink. It looks crazy weird with my hair.

you would know I prefer a nice, juicy grilled steak over any other food offer

I think I come from the most awesome family, and I think I married into an equally awesome family.
i really scored in that deparetment

In our house, we don't say the "B" word. that is, "blood"
I am so easily made nauseous by this word and my left leg goes limp whenever I hear it.
Practical jokes in our house consist of Brett pretending to cut himself with a kitchen knife and me screaming my head off, running to the corner and covering my eyes.
(hopefully he never really does hurt himself because I will certainly be no help)

you would know I consider ice cream to be the sixth essential food group. I gotta get my calcium, right?!

you would know that I get serious Seasonal Affective Disorder when I live in snowy/dark places during the winter months.

you would know that I am super sensitive to movies/shows that are in anyway sad, scary, or have an animal get hurt in them. Like serious sensitive. Like I may have sat in the other room for 3 hours while my husband watched the movie "War Horse" because I thought the horse died eventually. Turns out he doesn't die.

I know every line in every "Office" episode.

I love watching and/or playing sports with my husband, and I love going to games, especially baseball games.

You would know that I am insanely cheap- and hate to admit it, but if the circumstance is right, I am a re-gifter.  And I love getting re-gifted gifts, or gifts that you tell me what an insane deal you got, or that you got it for free out of a dumpster!! :)

If you really knew me...

you would know that my dream job is to be an oceanographer- but one of my most deathly fears is the open water, so.... not sure if that dream is ever going to work out ;)

you would know (and probably do know) I think my baby Parker is the sweetest, cutest, most wonderful baby ever

you would know that I love animals, fresh flowers, farmers markets and delicious food

I hate naps and fruit flavored gum

you would know I read the comics section of the paper every Sunday, and Brett thinks it's hilarious that I read them

I love to cook and I hate doing crafts (because they never turn out :)

you would know I would rather be barefoot then wear anything else on my feet. you would know my husband thinks I have a temper to match my hair...

you would know I'm a morning person, and definitely not a night owl

I own a lot of jewelry, but never wear a lot

you would know I think my husband is the most awesome, fun, loving, smart, sensitive guy out there

Now you know!

More party!

I am so so thankful to have a professional photographer in the family.  And I am so so grateful that she brings her camera everywhere and takes all these wonderful pictures. All of these great pictures are done by my awesome sis in law Denae. Check out her site at  http://harlowphoto.com/blog/

Party Time

Parker's party was a blast. We had the party at my grandma's house in her backyard. She has a great backyard that is big and lots of grass. Perfect for track ball, wiffle ball, water balloon throwing contest, water fights and the slip n' slide. :) Of course I didn't take as many pictures as I wish I would have- and I didn't get any of the fun balloons or yummy food- but that's ok. There's always next year! :)
Parker couldn't decide which was better, the slip n' slide, or the device that just shoots water straight into your face?!
My dad mannin the bbq station
The pinata was a lot of fun. Can you believe I got this at consignment shop for $1?! It was definitely a big hit with the older kids- and Parker even got to take the first swing!

The adults' cake was a butter yellow cake with home made chocolate frosting- it was good, but honestly, I ate my cake so fast worrying about the next "activity" that I don't remember what it tasted like. I need to work on that!

Parker wasn't sure what to do with his cake...

The kids enjoying the slip n' slide- I love the one of Mack below just struttin his stuff while Logan comes running in.

 and.. back to the cake...

I love this shot with Parker and his giant cake and Mack sucking a lollipop. It was a sugar-filled afternoon for these boys.

He ended up being done with it after a few nibbles. Strange for my child to not eat the whole thing.

Great-grandma and Parker chattin it up

Grandma & Grandpa B
Cousins (... minus the other 24)
Grandma & Grandpa C and uncle Travis

Present Time! Parker loved opening his gifts. He didn't understand why he couldn't play with his gifts though, and why I kept making him put down his gifts to open the next one.
Great Grandma gave him an A's jersey. Now he has a Giants one and an A's one! Which to wear?! :)
he really loved the cards the most

I love this picture of Mack

Can't wait to for his 2 birthday party!! :)
