A weekend with the Blodgett Boys

This weekend we watched Clayton and Conner
and we had a really fun time!

I'm embarrassed to say i took this picture. And i cut off my husbands head.
I think i need a few basic photography lessons (Denae) :)

Brett and I met my girlfriend, Jamie and her friend for lunch
It was so fun to see her again, we always laugh so hard, we can't help it!
I laughed so hard at lunch, i was crying!

This video is so cute. This is Conner after he ate two pieces of broccoli, so he got two pieces of licorice. Only Julie says he likes broccoli so i think he was just pulling our leg to get to the licorice sooner...either way, he's such a cutie!!

While we were babysitting the boys of course wrestled....

After swimming, we went to Baskin Robbins. While we were there Conner noticed this man was fixing this freezer. He exclaimed, "Hey! He's fixing that!" Then he sat right behind him, just like this for about five minutes.....

Priceless!!

After ice cream we went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake with Kate and Clark

Kate and Conner decided to switch sunglasses...pretty cool

After the day was done, it was obvious we wore these little guys out!

For an update on our flowers, check out our neighbor's blog here

Only In Idaho...

This past weekend we did something i'm pretty sure you can only do in Idaho...
Demolition Derby!!
It was a fun night of red-necks
&
Junkers!!
For those of you who don't know what a demolition derby is, don't worry, i didn't know until i went, it's pretty much a bunch of beat-up cars that they drive around in a mud pit and they crash into each other as many times as they can without their car dying. The last one running wins! Pretty strange and hick..i know.
But it was pretty fun!
I think everyone should experience one demolition derby during their life!

These cars didn't even look like they could start, let alone drive and crash into each other!

Experience it yourself!! Careful of the Adrenaline rush! :)
Seriously, where else would a crowd gather and watch this?!! Only in idaho!!

We got this sweet BBQ set for our wedding, only problem; no grill! Brett was excited to bust it out saturday night when we bbq'd some hot dogs with some friends (on a borrowed grill)...he looks so cute!

Our date night friday night was a picnic in the park with pizza. I was so excited to use this really cute 'picnic' set we got for our wedding. It feels kind of like a giant tea set; it's so fun!

These are kind of difficult to blog about...i get a little angry inside. Angry at the plants.
Brett and i bought this planter box and dirt and seeds about two months ago...we planted them..and waited..and waited...and waited!! Brett would lovingly water them every morning and take such good care of them. And i would be planning to just dump them out and smash them because they were NOT DOING ANYTHING!!
Without knowing it, they saved their little plant lives by giving us this single bloom...
this morning!!

So i'm not angry at these little plants anymore..i just hope the Sweet Peas will bloom this week,
I am looking forward to those the most!

Fourth of July Weekend

Our Fourth of July weekend was a lot of fun...
Chad & Julie were so nice and let us stay with them.

We did lots of fun things over the weekend..
on the 4th we went to Devin and Kim's for the afternoon and Kim taught Julie and I how to make this cute cake :)
Julie did a fantastic job of making "shells", is that what they're called Kim?

That night we went to Angie and Pete's and had a fun BBQ and fireworks!

Bennett is ALWAYS happy!!

Little Wyatt is so cute!
Clayton and Conner had a lot of fun with uncle Brett
we got to go to temple square with Kate, Clark, Troy and Devon and Cameron, it was so fun to see the boys!

Clark introduced us to "Crown Burger", it was quite the burger!

The pretty view from the top of the conference center!
Our tour leader, Allen was quite the punctual man..he got a little frustrated with us a couple times because we were 'lolly-gagging'..you can see him in front of us here

Latest Happenings of the Newlyweds!

So this is my FIRST post on my OWN blog!

Please don't expect anything fancy.

There will be no pop-up pictures, no cool sounds or anything amazingly techy.
I don't have the skills for cool things like that... but I will do my best!

sooo......The first three months of marriage have been a blast.
Brett and I are having a great time learning how to live with your best friend 24/7

Since this is my first post, I decided to post some of our favorite wedding pictures.
It was such a fun party, and we were so grateful everyone came!

I love this picture with all the kids..some are so distraught!

Not the best picture of Travis- but it's the best we could do

Brett and little Bennett!

It was such an amazing day! Thank you everyone for all the work and help!!

I will do another post soon about the latest in Rexburg..
