Daily

In one of my classes this smester, there is a girl that sits behind me,

it is the same girl, because even though you aren't "assigned" seats in college you usually sit within a 2-3 seat range from where you sat the first day.

It's just the way it is.

And if you try and switch it up, someone will usually walk in and stare at you for 5 minutes because you are in their seat and then they will panic because they don't know where to go- sometimes they will even end up glaring at you as they stomp away.

(this really does happen, ask brett... true story)

Anyways, so this same girl always sits behind me. I don't know what she looks like, or her name because I have never turned around to see.

She is simply known to me as "Sneeze girl"

This is because every day I can count on one thing from this girl.

Usually, about 15-20 minutes into the class I hear a small, and quiet sneeze behind me. It's a small sneeze, almost like a squeak. Not a big deal.

But then, without fail...she says,
"Gross!"

EVERY DAY !!
I'm not joking, this has gone on for 5 class periods now.
And every time she has sat behind me and she has sneezed and then said "gross!"

And every day i think, this has to be a joke!
But it apparently is not!

And she says "Gross" pretty darn loud.
And I'm always thinking in my mind,

Did a gallon of snot just fly out of your nose?
Did phlegm shoot out of your mouth?
Is your face plastered in disgusting mucus?

And if this is happening daily, why don't you start carrying a box of tissues??

And why on earth would you say, "Gross" so loud?!

I have never turned around to see what she looks like after this infamous sneeze,

maybe I am scared of what I will see,
And I really don't want to get sick during class...

I think I will bring a box of tissues to next class and "conveniently" offer her a tissue after "the sneeze" and then just tell her to keep the whole box...

And then... it died...

This past Sunday Kaley came over for dinner- we are so happy to have her up here with us again!
It makes our lives a little more fun and we have a blast with her.

Brett was exhausted after dinner from his long Sunday, so he decided to take nap- and Kaley, noticing the dirty fish tank lovingly volunteered to clean it while Brett napped.

I decided that I should be nice and help Kaley with this task,

we began and put the fish all in their separate bowls and cleaned the rocks and plant and was ready to pour them back in...

I held the cup with the small fish over the sink and began to pour out a little of the excess water,
I thought in my mind and knew I needed to be careful that I didn't accidentally let the fish slip out through the small gap...

I knew it, and I tried really hard to just do this whole process fast...

But then...

the next thing I heard was a small 'thud' in the sink..
Not believing it could be true I frantically looked in the cup..
and no fish!

(the fish slipped right though this drain!)
I yelled to Kaley what happened, and began to panic
Brett was asleep in the room so I tried really hard to stay quiet and not scream to loud

Kaley and I couldn't believe it; I killed Brett's fish. He loved those 3 fishies together.
And I, his loving wife, killed it.

Well- I began to plan with Kaley how I would buy Brett a new fish this upcoming week and Kaley was assuring my panicked self that he would love this new fish.

All of the sudden Kaley turned into mechanic- or "plumber?" mode...
she silently and quickly opened the cupboards under the sink and began fiddling around, she unscrewed some things- some water leaked out, actually a lot of water, - and we poured a pipe full of water into a small strainer and guess what??

Bubble #1 jumped out!!
It was disgusting and yucky in there and I am hoping that the fish still won't die in a couple days from bacteria or something...

But for now we are happy to have our 3 fishies again!!

Kaley saved the day!
Who knew she had mad plumber skills??

A happy fish family once more

What a lucky day!,

Update on Bremily

Well another semester has begun...

I am excited because I enjoy school and learning but I would very much love to be done with homework... forever. All well... almost done!

We went home for our little one week break and had a blast being with family.

Some of our highlights included:

  • Going to eat at the Cheesecake Factory
  • Having a joined family dinner
  • Shopping :) ...and Brett made it about 1/2 an hour this time! Usually when we walk in a store together I know I have about 20 minutes before he starts to tell me his eyes hurt really really bad and he's getting a headache from all the stuff to look at...in his defense I do take a long time to shop, but I think he's exaggerating about his eyes...
  • Playing board games like Balderdash and Catch Phrase
  • Relaxing and sleeping in late
  • Eating at "Princess Garden", the most fantastic Chinese food
  • Helping get ready for Kate's wedding. Brett did a ton of yard work! He's so strong... :)
  • Brett doing awesome in internship interviews and being offered an internship!
  • Eating, Eating and Eating some more...

Thank you family for letting us come and party with you. We love seeing family and being able to come home and have fun with both sides of the family. We love you guys.

The best surprise of our trip was coming home to find that spring had sprung!!
Finally!! Although, the 70 degree weather did not last long here... it's now 50-60ish.
Please get warm again.

So- now that I am school and Brett is not, you may be wondering, "what does Brett do all day with his free time?"

Stay tuned to hear the answer...

Also to come... How I killed Bubble #1 (the fish) !!

easters

This Easter weekend was a lot of fun.
We went down for a wonderful General Conference and I got to throw Kate a fun bridal shower!

She got some good loot and we are so excited to have
Clark join the fam on May 15th!!
Kate and Clark attempting to frost cupcakes

The bridal shower spread

I love my sister Kate. We wish mom, Carrie, and Brooke could have joined us for the shower!

We spent the remainder of the weekend and easter partying with family... we were sad to come home and leave everyone :(

The 'buddaws'
Brett and his bros always have a blast strategically analyzing every game they play.
They get to intense and it's cute how similar they are.

We got to meet our new niece Norah this weekend, she is adorable and beautiful!

Easter morning breakfast with all the kiddos.

Twins Caden and Carsen are so much fun. They are so comical and make the party so lively and entertaining!

Bennett, Clayton and Conner are the sweetest 3 little boys. We love staying with Chad & Julie and these boys; they are so excited to see us and it makes us feel so loved :)

Uncle Brett seems to always be the center of the niece and nephew entertainment.

The newest couple to the Blodgett fam- Cute Dustin & Moriah!

A mad ping pong tournament broke out in-between conference sessions...It was fun and brought out the Blodgett "Friendly competition" in all of us. (This is kind of a joke because Blodgett's are competitive- and so are the women they have all married)

It was a terrific Easter Weekend.
Thank you family for letting us come and party with you guys. One day we won't be in the boonies and we will be able to see you all more often!

The worst part of the weekend: It snowed, making it a white Easter....
I could have cried

Do you want to know a Secret? (Doo-Ah-Doo)

Did you notice that the title is the Beatle's song?
You probably didn't notice, so now that you know- sing my title again, with the doo-ah-doo part and it will make sense!

So Do you want to know the secret?
Well here it is,
Do you have the problem of buying a stalk of celery and then not getting through it fast enough before it gets mushy, and soggy and non-edible??
we do!

I learned in a cook-book that if you set the stalk, standing up, in some cold salt water and put it in the refrigerator it stays better longer.

we tested it, and it works!
Awesome!
