Twenty {????} Weeks & Why I love March

Brett & I had our big ultra sound where they measure everything on the baby, and make sure every thing looks good. We are happy to say that both baby & I are healthy and everything looks great!! The only catch is that baby was measuring bigger- like instead of being 22 weeks tomorrow, I may almost be 24!!
We don't know yet for sure, the doctor will ultimately decide whether to change my due date or not, but after the ultra sound it said my new date was 6/27- as opposed to my earlier 7/6!!

I would be thrilled and ecstatic to meet this little guy a couple weeks earlier then I thought!
I can't call myself 22 weeks tomorrow, because I have no idea. So this picture is me between 22-24 weeks. Who knows.

Here is our little man!!
I just love his little profile- oh and I'm pretty sure his arm is attached to his body even though it doesn't look like it. I think the Ultra sound tech would have told us if it wasn't... :)

Onto why March is my favorite.
I woke up this morning with new energy and excitement.
3/1/11- I can't wait to start March!
I love this month, not only because it is my birthday month,
but it is also the month that we have the first day of spring, which means warmth is coming!!

I love it when blossoms are coming, and when things are getting greener and coming back to life-
Today was an especially warm day and gave me extra energy

So, Welcome March.
I am so over-joyed that you are here.
Please chase away the cold, the clouds and the annoying white frozen water that falls from the sky. And bring sun, green and new life!!

Dear Upstairs Neighbor

Dear Man who lives above us, and gives me so many sleepless nights & mornings:

Why do you get up at 4 am and stomp around your room??
And then go quiet, tricking me until you get up for good at 5 am?
I think you have a pet elephant up there, or you weigh 600 lbs.- because it's not humanly possible to stomp as loud as you do.
If you don't have a pet elephant, then you must have bloody stubs from all your stomping.
Some days (most days) I get really mad at you, and I want to stomp on my ceiling back so you know what it sounds like.
But until I figure out how to walk/stomp on my ceiling you win every fight you never know we have.
I have thought of many possibilities to give you the benefit of the doubt;
  • you are a world-renowned Irish dancer and love to stomp around dancing
  • you are an interior designer and love to rearrange your furniture every morning at 5 am (with all the moving around and things banging this one seems possible)
  • you had a skiing accident when you were younger, and they had no choice but to replace all your bones in your legs with lead, or concrete, whichever is heaviest. Thus resulting in your stomping everywhere.
You see neighbor? I have tried, but none of these explanation satisfy me.
So, if you are going to come down and prove one of my theory's please either bring your Interior Designer degree, a doctors note explaining your accident, or umm... your Irish dancing tights {?} to prove a reason to me, thus helping me not get so angry at you in the wee hours of the night and again in the wee hours of the morning.

Thanks neighbor- oh, and p.s. If you start your washing machine and/or dryer again late at night or early in the morning I will cut all the wires that give your apartment energy supply..
ok, thanks! {Insert sweet, smiley face here}

oh the joys of apartment living.

A Day Date on his Day off

Brett had Monday off- and I was SOOO happy!!
We decided to have a day date, which included shopping {very short and quick shopping trip- husband's idea of a fun day off does not include shopping- weird}, seeing a movie, lunch at in-n-out, a haircut for the hubby and a looooong, relaxing walk in the sunshine.
It was the best day we've both had in a while.

{Sidenote- my growing belly}

We saw the movie "unknown"- because Brett's been claiming that all we watch lately is chick flicks, which I can't deny. But I think he enjoys "When in Rome" just as much as me :)

Unknown was not my favorite. I won't give anything away. I just needed a different ending.
We splurged calorie wise and got shakes with our cheeseburgers. It was the most delicious strawberry shake I'd ever had. yumm... I want another one now...

Then to burn all of our milkshake and burger calories we explored the river trail by our apartments. We went on like a 2 hour walk, it was such a beautiful day- and it felt so good to spend so much time together!

Hoping to see more of this warm, utah sunshine

Love Week - Day 7

Today I love : Good Health!!!
Because I do not have it at the moment.
I was up all night throwing up and having ummmm... other problems... :)
We decided I have the flu.
I hope it's just a 24 hour thing
The worst thing about it is that I am SO THIRSTY all the time- but I threw up all my Gatorade and sprite this morning- so now I'm just sucking on ice cubes.

This is me miserable pretty much.
Sucking on an ice cube, sitting on the couch- not going anywhere!
I do love that I have a husband that can provide meals for himself.
This is him making himself and Brittany breakfast burritos.
I love that he can cook for himself.
It made my day a lot better!
oh and p.s. He's currently doing the dishes right now- no one asked him to. I love him.

I love babies in a cute Valentine's outfit.
Lilly looks so cute!

Love Week- Day 6!

I love date nights!! But who doesn't?!
Brett & I made a date of grabbing some knobs at Lowe's for our D.I. dresser- and picking up a small nightstand/table thing from Target...it was so fun!
Since he's a working man now- any time I spend with him is cherished!!
Even if it's a date to Lowe's to pick out knobs! :)

We even paused to take a belly shot!

After about 1 1/2 hours of shopping- I knew Brett would be hitting his limit soon...
It came while we were at Target.
This is how I can tell his limit's been hit... he walks a million ka-zillion miles an hour to get out of the store and I can't keep up with him.
So- when this starts, I try not to stop and look around at anything else...

This morning I got another date! Can you believe it!
Since Brittany is here we wanted to do some fun things- so we went to Kneaders for breakfast-
D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!
All you can eat cinnamon french toast- for only 4.99, and it is SOO gosh darn good.

Keep Spreading the Love!!
Valentine's Day is almost here!

Love Week- Day 5

I love having tiny little visitors! :)
Lilly is the daughter of one of my best friends from high school-
it's so fun having a little one around our apartment!!

Happy Love Week!
