Maybe it's the hormones...

Maybe it's my pregnancy hormones, but I saw this today and I was seriously dying of laughter.
Tears were rolling down my cheeks.
I called Brett at work to tell him about it, and I could barely finish before I busted up in laughter...

I love weeknight dates

Weeknight dates are THE BEST. It makes it feel like the weekend came early, and I know it makes the work week less tiring for Brett- and not cooking dinner for a night is also a plus!
We decided to to a date to Bajio's- we love bajios... we always eat to much and practically have to roll out of the restaurant, but we love it.
We never branch out- he gets the pork burrito and I get the pork salad, SO yummy!

Kate & Clark joined us for this weeknight date.
It was really fun just to relax and chat and start our weekend a little early

I know I haven't blogged much lately- I'm just plain to tired. Getting ready for the day is a big deal and takes a lot of effort and energy, after I do that and clean/laundry, or other projects I want to do, I'm pooped... so then I have to sit on the couch and read or watch something
(like today I watched "One fine day"- that movie will never get old to me, no matter how many times I see it!) So those are my reasons for the lack of posts- I'm just to lazy!

I have been doing more to get ready for this little guy.. washing his clothes, finishing up the nursery (pics to come soon), and making blankets/burp cloths/ a car seat cover- it's been fun and it is really becoming so real to us now that he could be here in less then 6 weeks!


I have been filling out his baby book a little bit. His Grandma C (my mama) got this for him- it's so cute and we love the colors- it's so fun filling out the pages and knowing that someday he will read them!

Even though I don't think there's anyway I can grow anymore, somehow I keep growing!
I'm bigger then my last bump picture! Will the growing ever end?!

I discovered a super cute consignment store right up the street from where we live, I went in today- "just to look"- and I was doing really good until I got to this cute little number.
It was insanely good priced- and I loved the color because it matched our living room pillows, so I got it! :)
Now, I really want to go back for a super cute cream colored coffee table I saw...

Pregnancy Update

I can't believe that I am already 34 weeks- time has flown by!.. Well sort of. Thinking that we found out I was pregnant last October sure makes this pregnancy seem long!
Doctors appointment last week said everything looked great- I'm right on track- baby boy is head down right now, hopefully he'll stay that way.
I'm thankful for such a great doctor, she is so nice, and really easy to talk to and ask questions and she is having her 3rd baby a few weeks after me! so we always talk baby names at my appointments.
As of now, this baby boy doesn't have a for sure name. Brett & I keep going back and forth and finding new names we like. Our tastes are a little different when it comes to names, so we've both had to compromise- but I think in the end we will go to the hospital with 2-3 names and see which one fits our baby boy best.
I realized I haven't blogged details of this pregnancy very much, and I want to be able to look back and read about this pregnancy, so I wanted to include some memories/info on this pregnancy for me to remember!

• It's been a relatively "easy" (pregnancy is not easy) pregnancy. I haven't been sick once, and other then some third trimester common symptoms- sometimes I would forget I was pregnant! (Until my bump got HUGE- now I could never forget!)
• I first felt baby around 24 weeks- but he really started kicking/punching/squirming around 30 weeks, and I continue to feel him ALL the time, and hard kicks and squirms- I love it!

• Baby Boy loves to put his feet/legs in my ribs- sometimes I feel like I am suffocating, I think he is squishing my lungs!
• I've craved cheeseburgers this whole pregnancy. I think I could eat one daily- other than that craving, I have been enjoying "fruit by the foot" fruit roll ups for the past month. They are so good for some reason!
  
• I dread getting dressed every day- from lack of options, so sometimes I don't- p.j's are just fine. Brett's big shirts are also coming in handy!
• I loved our hypno-birthing class- and I am actually excited/anxiously anticipating labor and delivery. I am planning to go natural, but I know that if I do want pain meds, it doesn't mean I've failed!
• Overall, I've enjoyed being pregnant and I can't wait to meet this little guy in 6 weeks! (or, hopefully less!)
  

Birthday Festivities Continued!

Brett & his brother, Chad, have birthdays 2 days apart. It was a lot of fun this year to get together with family and celebrate the birthdays! We went to Blue Iguana- a yummy Mexican place in SLC- then came home for cake, ice cream & games!
Thanks Brett & Chad for being born so close together so we could have an excuse to party! :)

Happy (2 days late) Birthday to my amazing husband!!
Brett is the most caring, kind, thoughtful guy I know- I'm so lucky to be a part of his life.

I got home from my CA trip (see post below) Friday the 13th night - his birthday. So I was extra anxious to see him and be sure he had a great birthday. Although, he managed to have a pretty good birthday without me already- he got some golf clubs re-gripped, went to the driving range and got ice cream. But after all that we was still soo happy to see me- I love being missed. :)


I tried to be sneaky earlier that week and get his work address so I could send him something at work for his birthday. But he totally caught on and began questioning me about what I was planning. Brett likes to be surprised- but he also can't handle the suspense of it, so it was really fun for me all week as he kept asking me worrying about what it might be.
Some of the ideas/nightmares he had were me sending an acapella group to sing to him in front of everyone at work, or me hiring a clown or something to come to work and make balloons for him and everyone. I kinda wish I would have sent the clown... it would have been funny.
Instead I sent this...

And edible arrangement bouquet! It also had a happy birthday balloon. I was so happy I sent it though because Brett hadn't told anyone at work that it was his birthday- and he wasn't planning on it! But when this was delivered they all found out!!

Happy Birthday Wonderful husband! I love you so much!

Here he is sporting all his gifts. I got him the Jimmer poster kinda as a joke- but he immediately hung it up that night in his "man space" aka- the garage area... He loves it and every time he passes it he pounds Jimmer's fist- maybe he didn't want me to tell everyone that... :)
He also got a new dress shirt, new golf shirt, a massage, a gift card to a golf store, a miracle ball set, new dress socks (how exciting, I know), and that picture of Christ- his favorite painting. That little outfit in the lower right hand of the picture isn't for him.. it's baby's first golfing outfit- I gave it to Brett because baby can wear it the first time he goes to a golfing range to watch dad :)- it's adorable and little sweater vest and plaid shorts.. I can't wait to put it on him!

A trip home!!

Last week I was able to go home and visit for a week! It was wonderful, and just what I needed. I desperately needed the California sunshine, spending time with both families- and my last big trip before baby is here!
Now that I am home and going over my pictures I of course wish I would have taken more- I didn't get that many I'm now realizing... but enjoy!

The first night we got there we went to our niece, Lexi's, dance recital. It was a lot of fun and she did a great job!

Of course after that we wanted a trip to Fenton's to celebrate.
I think Moriah is pretty excited for hers... :)

I had to document how many eggs my parents are getting from their chickens daily, 6 eggs a day!! That's crazy- I kinda wish I had 1 chicken here, just to give me an egg a day- It'd be fun!

We had to squeeze in a Giant's game. Mom & Dad enjoying the game- Travis and I were enjoying our garlic fries... :)

It wouldn't be a complete post about my trip home without a picture of the fur-balls. They just love each other and it's the cutest thing ever!

Mom and I made a trip to the deYoung museum in SF for a special exhibit- we just had to eat lunch there, that's half the fun of museums, their cafes and food are always extremely delicious (and expensive!)

We did lot's of other fun things at home including:

• Going to Mack's baby blessing- he's so sweet and precious and I'm so mad I didn't get a picture of him!!
• Having Denae take fun maternity pics of Kim & I
• Going to movies
• Eating at the yummiest chinese restaurant ever
• Visiting with old friends and extended family

• oh, and I know no one will be surprised but we managed to squeeze in a little shopping!!

I've always felt like my baby belly was big, but now comparing it to earlier baby bump pictures- I feel HUGE! :) I can't believe how soon this little guy will be here, we can't wait to meet him!
