I haven't updated in a while, and we just had some family come into town- so I thought that would be a good time to fill you in!
{I'm going to be posting less pictures of me and my face, haha- my round little bowling ball of a head is not fun for me to look at, and I'll only be getting bigger}

The only thing that is getting to me is waking up at 3 am nearly every night with RLS. {Restless Leg syndrome} I used to get this sometimes even when I wasn't pregnant, but now it's gotten worse. And the worst part is that I usually get it on the nights that I have worked out the longest that day!! I try and walk daily for at least an hour, and on days I go longer my RLS seems to be worse! I'm coping though, and usually if I get out of bed and stretch my legs a little, it gets better.
Waking up in the middle of the night has been worse lately because of my new calling.
Primary Chorister. Ya, I thought it was a joke at first too. I've never taught/led music in my life, and then I had to replace a terrific chorister in our ward! I was terrified, so after waking up from my RLS- I had a hard time going back to sleep because I would have visions of me totally botching primary singing time by messing up/the kids hating me/or me singing wrong.
Today was my first day though, and it went fairly well- no one yelled at me, I still don't lead the music, I just try and get away with standing and singing without moving my arm.
This was only day 1 though, we'll see how the remainder of this goes!

And it's good practice for me- I'm trying to see how long I can keep flowers alive, these one's died pretty fast, so fast I won't even tell you because I'm embarrassed. :)
We are also "Cat-sitting" right now for my sister Kate and her hubby Clark while they are away on a vacation. "Molly" is quite a rambunctious little feline, we put her in the baby's room at night- and she has adapted pretty fast. We usually find her asleep on top of the changing table, and one time she was even in the crib.

One of her favorite spots is on top of the dvd player- it's a small, cramped little space but she likes it. weird!

About a week ago Brett's parents and brother Landon came out for a visit. It was so much fun- and added so much to my sometimes long days!! :) We had a lot of fun, and Brett keeps dreaming every night of the golfing trip he took with dad and brothers. We enjoyed a fun family Easter holiday and loved being with family. Unfortunately the photographer in the family (Ddawg) couldn't come so of course no one else pulls out the camera while we are together, so no pictures were taken. But we had a blast- and we're so thankful for family!
Then, about 2 days later my mom flew in for women's conference at BYU. We went to it Friday and really enjoyed it and the messages shared.
Saturday we woke up to 4 inches of snow!!! { I almost had a heart attack} And I wanted to pack up and move back to Cali immediately. Luckily it melted fast so we decided to quit pouting and move on with our day.
We went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point and we were not disappointed. It was AMAZING!! 54 acres of tulips and daffodils. It was beautiful, and so fun to walk around. They even have a "secret garden" that looks just like the movie.

After Thanksgiving point we went and saw the PG-13 version of "The King's Speech" - it was playing in the dollar theater. We LOVED it. It was one of the most uplifting/happy movies I've ever seen. I highly recommend it.
Then we did a little car seat shopping. It was a little over whelming for Brett and I since they have so many gadgets/gizmos and crazy things for car seats these days.
This one was on top of the display shelf, It was so luxury- and practically had everything to it- mp3/ipod holder, cell phone charger, seat warmers.... ok maybe not all those but it looked so comfy Brett wanted to test it out- I didn't think he would fit, but he said it was even roomier than an airplane seat. Sheesh! These kids sure get spoiled :)
I can see a future SNL skit involving these highly decked out/necessary car seats...

To top off our Saturday mom decided she wanted to try the scooter!! And after she drove it around a few times it was hard to get her off! She wants to take it home and drive it all around the town- I think she's making a hard-core biker chick face to Brett's camera in this pic.

Oh, and did I mention I have 2 new adorable nephews?!
They are only 4 days apart and are the sweetest little things ever.

You look so cute and pregnant Em! You're really having a baby!? Molly is cute. Where did Kate and Clark go? Glad you and mom had fun. Who did you listen to at Women's Conf? Those tulips looked so pretty. I want to cut all of them and put them in my house! Love you!
Oh, I didn't know you had RSL? Did you ever have it when you weren't pregnant? The last year or two I have gotten it so bad. It is sooo annoying!! sometimes i put a few rubber bands around my lower legs, the pressure seems to help a little. I try to explain to Troy what RLS feels like..but it's hard to put into words. Hope it gets better!
You look adorable and so little prego. I looked huge and my face got even bigger lol so you look a million times better than I did.
You look so cute Emily!! There are some sweet car seats out there-Davids is so plush and comfy, sometimes Im a little jealous :-)
Em and Brett, such a fun weekend we had. Thanks for the hospitality!
great update em - you've been having fun! you look awesome and i cant believe only 9 more weeks! it is funny no one took pictures at easters. that cat sleeping on the dvd player is hilarious and im sorry about your rls. what a pain but soon you will have rbs - restless (and hungry) baby syndrome so it's good practice:) can u tell im typin this one handed. k see u soon!
Em, love all the pictures! I had RLS BAD every night for like a week- it was driving me INSANE!!! Every night I'd be up for HOURS trying to sleep and unable to because of my legs! Think calcium, magnesium, and iron, and that should help. I've been snacking on almonds (a great source of all three of those minerals) and having a salad every day (I'm currently addicted to Newman's Own Balsamic Vinagrette, so that makes me crave my salads!) I also have an herbal tea sometimes made from herbs that my hippie preggo book says are supposed to help. And I do my walking & stretching, too, but not as much as you do! You're going to be one fit mama! Anyway, my RLS has almost completely gone- at least for now. I'll keep you posted! I think this may be the longest comment in blog history.
You look great!! Isn't it crazy that May is the last guaranteed, no baby month! I wish I could speed up time for both of us!
Round face? You're funny. You look sooo good! MY face got round. And it goes away right away. So excited for you and Brett!
Cute pictures. Thanks again for watching Molly. So excited for little Baby Blodgett to come!
